DC Entertainment Superheroes The Flash Tv shows

Arrow Legends of Yesterday Review

Save the birds, save the world

On the previous episode of the Flash we were introduced to the villainous Vandal Savage. Savage proved to be a more than a formidable foe for both heroes before he got the Staff of Horus which gives him the power to level a city. So Savage gave the heroes a choice. Give him Kendra (Hawkgirl) and Carter (Hawkman) so he could kill them to retain his immortality or he would level both Star and Central city.

This lead to team Flash and Arrow working frantically to find a way to defeat Savage. Overall the main story in the episode  was very cohesive and gave a good feel on how Legends of Tomorrow will feel as Casper Crump is excellent as Savage and is an interesting villian. There was some cool moments in the episode including the halfway point of the episode that I won’t spoil but it’s worth seeing. The final battle with Savage was also great as we saw the whole team work together to take him down. But as we know this is not the last we will see of him.

There are some parts of the episodes that just don’t work the biggest being the with Oliver’s son.  It seemed like the story was just tacked on to tie up loose ends as not only did it not make sense but they were some uncharacteristic parts of it. The plot seemed like it would have been done more Justice if it had it own episode or maybe even told throughout the season. While it does take a little away from the episode it’s still an excellent episode of Arrow.

Score 8.5 out of 10
